The Nurtured Tree provides personalized child development consulting and parent coaching for families of young children in Galveston County, Southern Harris County, and beyond through in-home and virtual services. I support growth in language, play, movement, social engagement, behavior, regulation, picky eating and sensory processing.

Through observation and play-based, sensory-informed strategies, I help families strengthen skills, deepen connection, and create meaningful progress at home and in the community, empowering parents to feel confident and equipped in supporting their child’s development.

I could spend this space telling you all about my background, degrees, and professional experience supporting children and families (and yes, there’s plenty of that!). But when you’re looking for someone to help you understand your child, credentials only go so far. What really matters is that you feel seen, understood, and supported. Parenting, especially when your child’s development or behavior feels different from what you expected, is deeply personal. It’s vulnerable. You deserve guidance from someone who gets it, not someone who just hands you a checklist and sends you on your way.

So, let’s do this a little differently. First, a little about me, the person behind The Nurtured Tree. Then, a little about you, the parent who’s trying to understand the best way to help their child (and wondering if you are doing all you can). And finally, a quick overview of my experience, in case you do want the details.

“You don’t have to figure it all out alone. Your child doesn’t need to be “fixed.” You both just need the right kind of practical support, the kind that grows with you.” - The nurtured tree

about me

I’m a parent, just like you, and I’ve had my fair share of late-night worries, second guesses, and “is this normal?” moments. I’ve walked the path of wondering if my child is just taking their time or if something more is going on. I’ve sat in those appointments, met disappointed faces from preschool teachers, read the articles, and carried the weight of wanting to do the right thing, even when I wasn’t sure what that was. Those experiences changed how I show up for families today. Professionally, I’ve spent years supporting parents and young children through the early years, the messy, beautiful, and often confusing stages of development. Personally, I’ve learned that every child and every parent deserves to feel understood, not judged.

At The Nurtured Tree, I combine developmental expertise with a compassionate, down-to-earth approach. I believe that behavior is communication, that play is powerful, and that lasting growth starts with connection. I bring warmth, honesty, and practicality to every session, because parents don’t need more advice that makes them feel like they’re failing. They need understanding, clarity, and tools that actually work for their child and their family.

about you

You know your child better than anyone, but lately you may be finding yourself with more questions than answers. You’ve read the books, followed the tips, consulted the parenting Facebook groups, and maybe even been told to “just wait and see”, but your gut tells you that something more is happening. You just want answers and support that feels grounded, not overwhelming. You might be here because:

  • Your toddler’s meltdowns feel bigger, louder, or longer than other kids’

  • You’re child’s communication, play, or connection is developing differently than you expected

  • You’ve heard words like sensory, autism, or delay and don’t know where to start

  • You want to feel calmer and more confident navigating daily challenges (such as picky eating)

  • You’re tired of wondering if you’re doing it “right”

  • You don’t want someone to tell you how to parent. You want someone to help you understand your child and bring peace back into your home.

*If that sounds familiar, you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

when you work with me

You know your child. I know child development.

My role isn’t to come into your home and point out what you’re doing wrong. You bring your knowledge of your child, and I bring nearly 30 years of experience in child development. Together, we’ll figure out what’s behind the challenges you’re seeing, build on what’s already working, and find practical ways to support your child’s development and build skills that make everyday life easier and more meaningful for your child and your family.

You’ll get support that’s gentle, practical, and real. Together, we’ll look at development, regulation, and beneath the surface of behavior to understand the why, and I’ll help you find strategies that actually fit your child’s needs and your family’s rhythm. We’ll work together to help your child thrive, and help you feel grounded, capable, and connected again. Will it all be easy? Of course not. Parenting rarely is, but it will start to make sense again. And through it all, you’ll have someone guiding you along the way.

Support for Your Child's Developmental Journey

YOUR CHILD DESERVES THE OPPORTUNITY TO THRIVE

I know you want the best for your child, a future where they continue building meaningful skills, navigate challenges with support, and connect with the people and world around them. Every child’s developmental path looks different. My role is to help you understand your child’s individual strengths and needs and support the skills that will make everyday life easier and more meaningful for them and for your family.

ARE YOU FEELING OVERWHELMED OR UNSURE WHERE TO START?

Concerns about development, behavior, communication, sensory needs, or everyday routines can leave parents with a lot of questions. You may know that something isn’t working for your child or family but aren’t sure why or what to try next. That’s where I can help. Together, we’ll look at the whole child, make sense of what’s happening, and identify practical ways to support development and make everyday life feel more manageable.

PARTNER WITH A SPECIALIST WHO UNDERSTANDS YOUR JOURNEY

I offer personalized strategies based on your child’s strengths, developmental needs, sensory preferences, and everyday routines. Rather than giving you a one-size-fits-all parenting plan, we’ll work together to find strategies that make sense for your child and feel realistic for your family.

IT’S EASY TO GET STARTED

1. Complimentary Phone Consultation: I begin by learning about your child, their strengths, & areas of need through a detailed conversation with you, which helps determine if The Nurtured Tree is a good fit for your family.

2. 3. Personalized Plan & Ongoing Support: We will work together to develop clear goals & practical recommendations. A personalized home program will be implemented with ongoing support, providing resources, feedback, & adjustments as your child progresses & new needs emerge.

The Behavior Blueprint™: A personalized 4-week virtual coaching program for parents of young children (2-6) with big behaviors. This program will help you to understand and respond to your child’s challenging behaviors. See Services for more info.

early support can make a difference

The early years are filled with opportunities for learning and growth. When something about your child’s development, behavior, communication, or sensory needs has you wondering, you don’t have to wait until it becomes a bigger concern to ask for guidance.

Support can simply mean taking a closer look at what’s happening, understanding your child’s strengths and needs, and finding ways to help them build useful skills through everyday routines and play. And if you’ve already been concerned for a while, that’s okay too. There’s no “too late” or perfect time to ask for support.

meaningful progress looks different for every child

Progress might look like using a new way to communicate, tolerating a difficult transition, joining family routines more comfortably, expanding play, becoming more independent, learning to ask for help, or finding new ways to connect with others.

Together, we’ll focus on skills that are meaningful for your child and make a difference in everyday family life, while helping you feel more confident understanding and supporting them.

good words

HEAR WHAT FAMILIES ARE SAYING

Parent and child working on targeted developmental strategies in a home setting.

“Aimee was our very first therapist during a very scary time full of lots of unknowns surrounding our son’s health, but she put us at ease virtually immediately! She is very sweet and knowledgeable and will work hard to help you and your little one every step of the way. Would recommend her a million times over. :)”
- Kyndal B.

“Mrs. Aimee was our son’s very first specialist starting at the age of 2 and we couldn’t be more grateful for her help. She is dedicated, caring and makes her sessions fun, engaging and hands on towards the child’s likes. I will never forget her time playing baseball with our little and the growth that occurred during their time together. She helped guide me in the best ways to work with him at home and his speech and social skills just took off over time. Aimee has a huge heart and is a rare gem in what she does. My son went from putting himself to sleep with stranger interaction to excitedly and eagerly waiting for her at the door each session. We are very blessed we crossed paths and Aimee helped get our boy on track before preschool. She’s truly the best and any family would be lucky to have her.”
- Jessica F.

“Aimee is amazing at what she does and genuinely cares about the children and their (often overwhelmed) parents! My son was a micro-preemie who needed some help developmentally and Aimee was so patient with him and with me and the million questions I asked! While every child develops in their own time, Aimee definitely helped my son reach several important milestones.”
- Jamie L.

“I highly recommend Aimee - she worked with my 2 year old until his third birthday and he made so much progress in that time. She really went above and beyond to not only help him but my husband and I as well to have the strategies and tools we needed for our son to really succeed. She was so encouraging and always celebrated even small progress week by week. Truly a pleasure to work with!”
- Amanda B.

“Mrs. Aimee is a true gem! I can’t thank her enough for helping my son with his speech and many other skills!!! She was professional, knowledgeable, and so much fun! We loved our time with Mrs. Aimee. Very wonderful person!! If I could rate more stars, I would.”
- Free Family

“Aimee was the first therapist to help us with my child’s diagnosis. She was always so kind, encouraging, and relatable. That was 14 years ago and she is still just a phone call away or a quick coffee date to help with any advice I need. Grateful our paths crossed, our family is better because of it.”
- Nicole H.

“I cannot express enough gratitude for Aimee Falavolito of The Nurture Tree. She is truly an expert in her field and has made a profound impact on our family. When my daughter began working with Aimee we were unsure about her speech development and other milestones, feeling overwhelmed and uncertain about what the future held. However, Aimee’s warm and engaging approach transformed our experience.

From the moment she entered our home, she brought a sense of excitement and fun to each visit. Her ability to connect with my daughter made her look forward to her sessions, and her creative methods kept her engaged and motivated. Aimee has a unique gift for making milestones feel not only attainable but also enjoyable.

Her caring nature extended beyond just my daughter; she always took the time to reassure me and provide guidance, making me feel supported throughout the entire process. With her expertise and encouragement, we’ve seen remarkable progress that I once thought was out of reach.

I wholeheartedly recommend Aimee and The Nurture Tree to any family in need of child therapy services. Her dedication, compassion, and skill make her an invaluable resource, and we are so grateful to have had her by our side on this journey. Thank you, Aimee, for everything you’ve done for our family!”
- Leslie S.

“We love Aimee and my son loved doing therapy with her. She went out of her way to help my son with his needs.”
- Amanda P.
